Abstract:

Background: One third of the women who sought infertility treatment had an impaired psychological well-being.The unfulfilled desire of millions of infertile couples worldwide to have their own biological children results in emotional distress. Infertility has mental, social, and reproductive consequences.Materials and Methods: In this review article, electronic searches were undertaken in PubMed, Scholar Google and up to date since 2007.Results: Couples and individuals vary in their responses to the infertility experience. Psychological INTERVENTIONS and improvements in the organization of care are essential to positively impact on outcome during diagnosis and treatment in this group of women. Appropriate NURSING INTERVENTIONS are suggested for each specific stage. It can be useful to take cultural factors into account in evaluating the mental health of infertile women. Psychosocial INTERVENTIONS are more effective in reducing negative affect.Proper psychological care and counseling should be an integral part of infertility management. Conclusion: The need for additional and continuous training for nurses employed in fertility settings is paramount.Health-care personnel treating women with fertility problems should be aware of the emotional response of their patients in order to recognize and treat possible psychiatric morbidity. It is crucial to mandate psychiatric counseling in all fertility centers in order to diagnose and treat infertile patients with psychiatric disorders.

Abstract:

Background & Aims: Suicide is an important public health issue. An estimated 1530000 suicide deaths will occur worldwide in 2020. Providing the preventive programs is the main task of NURSING. This study designed to determine the effectiveness of NURSING preventive INTERVENTIONS in suicide reattempt.Material & Methods: The clinical trial method using randomization sampling method that has been conducted on patients with suicide attempt. This study conducted on 248 people who attempted suicide and were referred to Baharloo hospital in Tehran, Iran since July to October 2013. The demographic characteristics questionnaire and discharge follow-up questionnaire used for data collection. To analyze the data, SPSS version 16 was used. Results: In this study, out of a total of 248 attempts to commit suicide, woman, singles and unemployed compromised 66.1%, 52.8% and 43.5% of participants respectively. In the intervention group 8.5% of participants committed suicide once. In the control group participants had attempted suicide once (10.5%), twice (7.9%) or three time (3.3%). There was a significant relationship between the NURSING preventive program and suicidal attempts (P<0.05).Conclusion: This study showed that NURSING preventive programs play an important and significant role in suicide re-attempts prevention.

Abstract:

Background and Aim: Children with heart defects who need angiography are increasing. They have high anxiety and stress. Implementing an effective program for children undergoing angiography is one of the tasks of nurses. This article aims at reviewing NURSING INTERVENTIONS for children under angiography. Materials and Methods: Elsevier, SID, Magiran, Scopus, PubMed, and Google Scholar databases were searched using keywords such as coronary angiography, nonpharmacological INTERVENTIONS, NURSING INTERVENTIONS, pediatric, infant, children, and complementary therapies during 19842021. From 60 studies in the initial search, 12 studies were maintained. Results: Several solutions can reduce stress in children under angiography including music therapy and play therapy such as digital games, distraction, and relaxation therapy. Conclusion: Pediatric NURSING INTERVENTIONS under angiography can play an effective role in the recovery process. Children undergoing angiography have INTERVENTIONS to reduce stress according to their developmental age. Depending on the environmental, psychological, and social conditions of the child, solutions can be adopted and implemented so that children and their parents experience less stress.

Abstract:

Background and Aim: Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a multifaceted endocrine disorder affecting women of reproductive age. It manifests as hyperandrogenism, ovulatory dysfunction, and polycystic ovarian morphology. The etiology is complex, involving genetic, environmental, and metabolic factors. Key mechanisms—such as hyperandrogenism, insulin resistance, oxidative stress, and advanced glycation end-products (AGEs)—play integral roles in its pathophysiology. This review aims to evaluate the pathophysiology of PCOS, identify diagnostic biomarkers, and assess the critical role of NURSING INTERVENTIONS in its management.Method: A narrative review methodology was employed, synthesizing data from peer-reviewed studies on PCOS’s etiology, clinical features, and treatment modalities. Emphasis was placed on the roles of biomarkers and NURSING INTERVENTIONS in enhancing patient care and awareness. Results: PCOS is strongly associated with insulin resistance, oxidative stress, and AGE accumulation, which exacerbate hyperandrogenism and ovarian dysfunction. Advanced biomarkers, including anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH), luteinizing hormone (LH), and AGEs, offer valuable diagnostic and prognostic insights. Effective management strategies incorporate lifestyle modifications, pharmacological therapies, and personalized NURSING care. NURSING INTERVENTIONS prioritize patient education, lifestyle guidance, and addressing mental health concerns to improve outcomes. Conclusion: Managing PCOS requires a multidisciplinary approach that encompasses a thorough understanding of its pathophysiology, utilization of biomarkers for early diagnosis, and implementation of tailored therapeutic strategies. NURSING INTERVENTIONS are pivotal in raising awareness, promoting adherence to treatment, and mitigating long-term complications. Emphasizing patient education and lifestyle modifications is essential for the effective management of PCOS.
